Hello! My name is Mathew Iantorno (he/him), and I am a doctoral candidate in the Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto. My research focuses on how novel forms of retail automation (like digital automats and delivery robots) reconfigure labour, consumer responsibility, and public space.

My research is supported by a SSHRC Canada Graduate Scholarship – Doctoral; a Graduate Fellowship in Critical Digital Humanities; and a School of Cities Graduate Fellowship. It is also informed by my ongoing volunteer work with the Design Justice Network.

When I’m not writing papers about robots, I watch B movies, forage plants in the Rosedale Valley, and design tabletop games with my brother as Mammoth Island.
